This weekend I celebrated Thanksgiving with my Fiance’s family. Thye live in a quaint liitle town in western PA. I had some time on black friday to venture out and take some shots on a cold cloudy main street.

Thanks for the kudos. For all of these photos I used my Canon 17-40 mm lens. Its my default lens that I usually keep on the camera all the time. The first photo which is a panorama is actually 5 photos stitched together with some free panorama software, Microsoft ICE.
Brian! I’ve been enjoying your blog, but these pictures strike a definite cord – can you say you’re surprised? I don’t know how much history you know about the Lusardi’s building. A man used to run a sweets shop out of that building and was a very dear friend to my Mom. We stopped by there every week after church for a treat. My Dad snapped a few photos of me, as a very little girl posing on those steps. Loved the 3 shots focused on that building. And of course the courthouse one is a fave
Great pictures! I grew up going to the Methodist church in the picture. I remember the man at Lusardi’s being known to us kids as “Corney,” and ordering Cherry Smashes to drink at the soda fountain there. He was old enough to tell me what a nice little girl my aunt was when she would come in as a kid. Great place to grow up!
I like the photos! Especially the one of the church. What kind of lenses did you use for these?

Cool! I was wondering if you had a panoramic lens or something.
Love the photo’s brian…feels like i was actually home, but wasn’t
Hey Brian,
Nice photos! I like the texture you gave the stone church walls and the clouds. Very ominous!
